Alberto Bianco is an associate researcher at the French National Council of Scientific Research (CNRS, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique). Particularly, he belongs to the Unit UPR9021, ICT (Immunologie et Chimie Thérapeutiques) located at Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology (IBMC) of Strasbourg (France). He will be responsible of the selection and synthesis of a series of peptide candidates mimicking neural cell adhesion molecules, which will be adsorbed or conjugated to carbon nanotubes. Alberto Bianco is utilizing his experience acquired at CNRS-ICT interdisciplinary research groups, which comprises biologists and immunologists, to design, develop and prepare peptides and peptidomimetics covering a wide range of biological applications. In addition, he has developed a straightforward method to link different classes of peptides to carbon nanotubes.
