European relevance and strategic advantages
Our research activity anticipates technological needs and will substantially reinforce and integrate the strong position of Europe in Nanoscience by developing a novel and real competitive consortium in the field of nanotechnologies applied to neuroscience.
The present proposal wish to promote nanoscience application to neurobiology research and it is designed to translate this research interaction into a real advantageous research/industry interaction. This approach will favor the uptake of nanotechnology in manufacturing neuro-implantable devices towards creating new types of neural prosthesis. The present project addresses the impact of nanotechnology on health care, in particular that concerning biocompatible and structured surfaces for tissue engineering and implants in the CNS.
We are grateful to the EU for allowing the funding of our proposal which will reinforce the collaboration among European scientists and laboratories and will contribute to establish a European scientific identity.
