Potential Impact
The consortium proposing the present project gathers four research centres among the most qualified in Europe, one research centre in Israel and one SME (MCS) with a major scientific aim: to engineer a novel generation of neuro-implantable devices based on recent advancements in nanotechnologies. Given its unique composition the consortium has all the expertise to achieve major scientific breakthroughs in Neuroscience and to provide a real scientific and technological transfer to other European research centres. The proposal is based on a large and well-coordinated effort from six different countries (France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Switzerland and Italy). It is evident that this proposal cannot be achieved at a national level and represents a significant added value to European science and technology. The proposal has certainly a wide scope, a challenging scientific objective, a genuine European perspective and real socio-economical implications.
